Primitive: Far out things. From far
out places. For far out people. We really do travel far off the beaten path to find
these rare and wonderful treasures and not always without risk.
Makassan pearl divers, Arabian dhow skippers and traders from
the far bring us their exotic wares. The results of our searches
are one-of-a-kind, sometimes museum quality pieces. Not all
of our primitive pieces are antiques. Ceremonies still take
place that require traditional crafts. Some pieces in our collection
are made by the only remaining artisan in a village, who may
spend up to six months to create a single object.
